Network security

The products behind this domain.

The same argument that makes a second route worth running makes control over your own network worth having. Two products, one for organisations and one for individuals, both operated by the team that runs this domain.

Nubinity

Hydra — managed firewall and single sign-on

Hydra combines managed firewall services with managed single sign-on, for organisations that want stronger control at the network edge and the identity layer without splitting deployment, monitoring and support across unrelated vendors.

Managed firewall

Firewall controls deployed, configured and managed around the real topology and needs of the organisation, rather than a default ruleset nobody owns.

Managed SSO

Single sign-on cuts repeated credentials across supported applications and gives identity access one consistent control point instead of a dozen.

One security context

Network and identity operations are coordinated, so a configuration change or a security event has a clear owner rather than two vendors pointing at each other.

How an engagement runs

Assess

Network boundaries, applications, identity sources, remote access, existing controls and business requirements.

Design

Firewall policy, supported SSO integrations, deployment order, rollback steps and administrative ownership.

Manage

Operate the controls, review events, and maintain configuration as users, applications and networks change.

Hydra is a managed offering rather than a box: the hardware, software, integrations and management scope are defined per environment, and existing firewalls and identity providers are reviewed before anything is recommended for replacement. Pricing is scoped per environment.

Veilock

Vortex — filtering at the network layer

Vortex blocks ads, trackers, malware, ransomware, spyware and coinmining by stopping requests to known-bad domains at the DNS layer, before they reach the device. Because it runs on the Veilock network rather than inside an app, it covers every device on the connection.

Why the network layer matters

A browser extension protects one browser on one device, and anything living outside the browser walks straight past it. Vortex filters across the whole connection, so phones, TVs, consoles and IoT gadgets are covered — including everything that cannot run a blocker at all.

Category-based control

Filtering is organised by category, so whole classes of unwanted traffic go at once: faster page loads, less tracking, lower data use on metered connections.
